The world recognizes teens as the “leaders of tomorrow,” but God uses them today in kingdom ministry. Together with children and adults, the teens meet on Sundays in Room L104 in the basement, which we call The Table. The mission of this youth group is to build a stronger relationship with Christ and with each other.
For a limited time, our youth group shirts are for sale once again. This year we also have youth/junior sizes, as well as long sleeves! This is the LAST YEAR for THIS DESIGN. These are the shirts we often wear when doing off-campus youth events. This order will close Sunday, May 14th. And will be available for pick-up Sunday, June 4th.
Our teens are led by Tika Blough, a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University ('13), with a B.A. in Christian Education. Her husband, Owen Blough (Olivet '12, B.S. in Engineering) is also present and assists in the weekly teaching and activities of the group.
Julie Jenkins is the youth group's assistant leader, who helps in the planning, coordinating, and teaching of the teens. Julie has a B.S. in Education, and has had over 15 years of experience teaching in Michigan's Public Schools. She also has had much experience leading and teach teenagers in a church setting.
Learning Hour | Sunday Morning 10 AM
During this time, our students are encouraged to "Bring It" to The Table as they discuss topics that are not often talked about in Church, as well as what it means to be Salt & Light.
Youth Group | Sunday Evening 6-8 PM
The teens and their leaders gather once again to break it down; Christianity that is, into the basic elements that Christ calls us to in Matthew 5:13-16.
